You have come to the right spot! We will be back at Otranto Library for our 2026 Spring Book Sale and are once again looking for volunteers.. Volunteer opportunities include:

 

Please fill out the information below to register to volunteer. If there is a specific job that you would like to do, please indicate it on your registration.  Please understand that we will make every effort to accomodate requests, but the particular job you request may not be available.  Once you submit this form, you are registered and you should receive a confirmation email.  If you do not get an email the registration did not go through. We are a volunteer non-profit organization that relies heavily on our volunteers so for any reason you cannot make it, please cancel your slot within 24 hours of your start time. If you can not cancel your volunteer slot or need to do so within 24 hrs. of the sale, please contact us by email at director@charlestonlibraryfriends.org.

 

With our increasing costs, we have had to make an adjustment to our volunteer thank you program.   We would like to offer each volunteer a $6.00 coupon. The amount is equal to cost of a new hardback fiction book. The coupons are available one to a person, regardless of the number of shifts worked.  Please note that the coupon must be used at the sale for which you volunteered and no partial credits are available. We recommend that you bring a closeable container of water with you and consider having a light sweater or jacket available as the room can sometimes feel cool. We do not provide water or snacks at our Branch sales due to limited space.
